In December 1988, B.A.A.S. Associates donated a 7.3 acre parcel of land to the North Haven Land Trust. This parcel was a piece of their larger development of the former Julius Hansen farm. This dairy farm was a long-term occupant of this area for many years. This farm is now the site of a 50+ housing neighborhood on the border with Northford. The Hansen Farm property is best accessed off Sara Circle. The Land Trust site is fairly level yet has no trail system. The Eight Mile Brook flows across the property on its way to join the Muddy River. This property is an excellent site for observing animal habitat and photography.
